Colleen Connolly is a Minneapolis-based freelance journalist who writes about education, child welfare, immigration, Indigenous rights, and more. She's written for outlets including Smithsonian, The Guardian, the Chicago Tribune, Chalkbeat, The Imprint, and more, and her reporting has taken her from New York City to Ireland to Peru. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism and anthropology from DePaul University and a master's degree in global journalism from NYU.
